The Ready Set Blow Podcast is brought to you each and every Wednesday by Chase Abel and Randy Valerio. Randy and Chase are two guys cut from a different cloth, but ultimately tied together by the same thread - comedy. Randy Valerio, who started comedy in Boston, is an LA-based comedian born and raised in Queens, NY. Chase Abel is Boston-based comedian originally hailing from Eritrea, East Africa. The two try to make sense of their lives and the world around them each and every week by sharing crazy ideas, news, stories, and their adventures with their listeners. Hip hop artist and producer, Gee Dubs joins the show as they all get ready to go to the 6th annual Patrice O'Neal Benefit show. Gee opens the show talking about his musical roots and what inspires his creativity and work. Chase switches the convo up and asks Randy and Gee what is what like growing up together and how their relationship has evolved. Gee Dubs turns the tables and starts interviewing the fellas, asking how they met and about their comedy writing process. They close out the show talking about Faizon Love's (aka, Big Worm) comments regarding Dave Chapelle. Happy Hash Wednesday! The guys kick off the podcast by celebrating the birth of the #HashWednesday hashtag. Randy then gives Chase a comically abbreviated explanation of the Catholic religion. They move on to talk about bachelorette parties and close-talkers. The boys decided to give some more relationship advice given it is also Valentine's Day. They answer listener email asking about the difference between a "comic" and a "comedian". The fellas wrap up with the news - 2 lesbian couples facing discrimination, a televangelist claims Jesus can cure the flu, and a woman flushes her hamster down the toilet after Spirit Airlines tell her it can't board her flight.

The buys welcome Nantucket’s own, comedian Brian Glowacki to the show. The guys kick off the show talking about how sports fans are now animals. BGlow gets into his journey in comedy and how he got to open for the likes of Preacher Lawson and Russell Peters. The gang moves on to talk about Brian’s dating life and what its like doing the step dad thing. The boys shift gears a bit and they talk about the rage issues they have in common. Chase shares a hilarious story about getting spit on…by his mother. The crew closes out with the current events - a woman gets thrown off a flight for having an emotinal support peacock, a story about trash talking in sports going a little too far, and the Patriots Super Bowl loss

The boys welcome comedian Peter Costello (Bienvenue) to the show. Peter has been in the comedy game for over 20 years and has the stories to go with it. Peter opens the episode with a story about the time he ate too much weed at a comedy show. He moves on to tell the story about the time he opened for Richard Lewis. Peter follows this up with the big story of the show - the time broke his dick! The gang brings the show home discussing the great Jone Rivers, who Pete had the privilege of opening up for at the Wilbur Theater.

Randy and Chase jump right in and start talking about self help gurus. This dovetails into a conversation about celebrities in politics. Chase shares his hypothesis that asian people have more sex than others. The boys shift gears and have a fun little discussion on fashion. Chase and Randy answer a listener’s emails about our thoughts on “thots”, which Randy finds out is just the new word for “chickenhead”.  The fellas close out the show with the news - Netflix and it’s latest moves in comedy, 2 cameramen for Late Night with Jimmy Fallon claim they were fired for being white, and 50 Cent making money on bitcoin.

Chase and Randy kick off the show clearing the air after an argument. This leads into a talk about patterns we all fall into and how being self aware is key. They lighten the show up by discussing the Patriots AFC championship win and where Brady’s career ranks amongst the greats. Chase and Randy welcome comedian Luke Touma to the podcast. Luke is a NYC-based comic who got his start in Boston. Luke shares what is was like starting comedy at 19, when a lot of places wouldn’t let him in to perform because he was underage. The gang gets deep and has a conversation about dropping your ego to grow as a comedian and as a person. This leads into a discussion of the comedy greats - Patrice O’Neal, Bill Burr and Dave Chapelle to name a few. We wrap up the episode talking about what’s next for Luke. The boys open the show with a very brief discussion of the NFL. The cold weather in Boston has them debate going to the beach vs. the pool. The guys each give a little story about a strange assignment they had in elementary school. Chase starts a long conversation on showing people respect and the consequences of your actions. This leads into Randy giving the latest update on the beef with his neighbor. The boys close out the show with the news - Aziz Ansari’s date night, Trump’s shithole comments, and Ginuwine won’t kiss a trans woman
